Sorry for getting this up so late.

The July award went to Sammy Erasmus. Although she says she talks a lot, she’s one of the more quiet members. And she’s quietly gone about transforming her body remarkably! Sammy changed her body composition the most out of all ladies in the Winter Challenge, and is quickly becoming one of the best movers in class.

Congrats, Sammy!FullSizeRender

Sammy– Jo Erasmus

I’ve been training at CrossFit Jozi since:
April 2015

I discovered CrossFit through:
Dané Pretorius, a friend of mine and now my training partner (She started crossfit in Zim and when she returnED to Joburg we started it together)

The most significant change in my health since starting CrossFit has been:
My body has changed the most

My biggest challenge in CrossFit is:
Hang cleans still challenge me.

What keeps you coming back?
Knowing that the next workout will challenge you more than the day before. It doesn’t get easier but you see results.

If I could use one word to describe myself it would be:
Unique (This was difficult as I am not a one word kinda girl, I often get told I talk too much 🙂 )

My favorite activity outside of CrossFit is:
Being around friends and family

My favorite place to eat in Jozi is:
Café del Sol in Olivedale

My proudest accomplishment at CrossFit Jozi is:
Completing the winter challenge without cheating, didn’t think it was possible but I made it. Thanks to my team Brawn Builders (Taryn, Dane, Dustin)

My goals for the remainder of the year are:
To do more than 1 kipping pull up and to master the cleans.
