1. Name: Lee-Anne Nowak

2. I’ve been training at CrossFit Jozi since: April 2013

3. I discovered CrossFit through: My husband Christopher. He asked me to do a jump up with him and the rest is history. My life has never been the same since… Thanks baby 🙂

4. The most significant change in my health since starting CrossFit has been: Since I’ve started, I have lost 8kg. And overall I’m a lot healthier. I feel great!

5. My biggest challenge in CrossFit is: Pull Ups and Toes To Bar and Double Unders

6. Great coaching, great people and the different variety of workouts keep me coming back.

7. If I could use one word to describe myself it would be: Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious 😉

8. My favorite activity outside of CrossFit is: Mountainbiking, Golfing, Fishing. I love the outdoors.

9. My favorite place to eat in Jozi is: Peri Peri in Edenglen

10. My proudest accomplishment at CrossFit Jozi is: My first kipping pull up.

11. My goals for the remainder of the year are: Working on my pull ups and toes to bar and double unders!!!

1. Name: Nick Themistocleous (aka Little Nick)

2. I’ve been training at CrossFit Jozi since: I completed my Jump Up in April 2013 and started with normal classes in May 2013

3. I discovered CrossFit through: friends who couldn’t stop talking about it (typical of us Crossfitters). Then I did free intro class at CFJ, swore I wouldn’t be back & then signed for my Jump Up that Monday.

4. The most significant change in my health since starting CrossFit has been: Well when I started at CFJ I weighed about 83kg. I now weigh 68kg thanks to nutritional know-how taught to me via my first winter challenge.

5. My biggest challenge in CrossFit is: Wall balls, running & the sleds (they make me puke 95% of the time)

6. The coaches, community & programming keep me coming back.

7. If I could use one word to describe myself it would be: Determined

8. My favorite activity outside of CrossFit is: spending time with my family. My daughter is very active and keeps busy outside of the box.

9. My favorite place to eat in Jozi is: Catch & La Piovra

10. My proudest accomplishment at CrossFit Jozi is: muscle ups, HSPU and my 105kg clean.

11. My goals for the remainder of the year are: push harder, get fitter and keep having fun
